Habitual Truancy in ohio?

A friend of mine has missed almost 8 days of school this 9 weeks. Shes a freshman in highschool and hasn't comitted any other crime ever. She kept telling me that her mom was going to send her to Juvi. I just want to know what will happen because of the absences and is there a chance she might go to Juvi?
