My daughter is 14 and does not want to see her father?
We live in Ohio. Her father has had little contact of any form over the last 13 years of any sort. He wants me to force her over to his home and is threatening contempt charges against me for not forcing her to go. To her he is a stranger and complains he spends little time with her and wants him to stop trying to force her over to his home. I do believe he may be using drugs and is a stranger to her. She also complains of baby sitting and her dad spending little time one on one with her. I have raised her alone all these years and I am willing to face contempt charges to protect her. He has been a habitual liar. At her age does she have any rights to deny going to his home and what should I do to have his visitation order changed? He has harasses me over this, can I press harassment charges? We have lifestyle differences as well as I am trying to raise her up in the way of the Lord and he cusses, smokes pot, drinks, has been very inconsistent in paying child support or in the past has not exercised his rights to visit her at all. He uses her as a baby sitter and she is unhappy going there. What do I do? Ohio have rights for the child at 14 to deny going at all?
