Did I test for hepatitis too early? One month after sexual intercourse.?

I had drunk sex one night, for not even a minute I'm thinking. It was really quick and I pulled out and we just kissed instead. My ignorant friend, who's usually a habitual liar, is who I told about the encounter. He said that he was pretty sure this girls Ex Boyfriend had Hepatitis, and she still messed around with him. So I made a doctor appointment to get my blood checked for hepatitis but it was only a month after the intercourse. Blood work came back "normal" meaning I should be ok. But was this too early to tell?
